FC Barcelona Ready for Historic Match at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday

Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in domestic competition two and a half years after they moved out for construction to commence.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees can be present as per the current authorization. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. The club said completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Recent Activities

The club conducted a public practice at the Camp Nou in early November. Officials stated approval is being pursued by UEFA to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at the stadium. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
